EU-West Africa Arts Fusion Residency & Expo 2024

About:

  • A unique program fostering artistic collaboration and cultural exchange between West Africa and the EU.
  • Offers artists and creatives from Ghana, Togo, Benin, and EU member states a platform for:
    • Joint residency projects in Ghana.
    • Culmination event at the EU Ambassador’s residence in Accra.
    • Networking and professional development opportunities.

Eligibility:

  • Open to artists and creatives of all disciplines (visual arts, music, dance, etc.) from Ghana, Togo, Benin, and EU member states.
  • No age restrictions, but emerging and mid-career artists are encouraged.

Benefits:

  • Fully-funded residency program in Ghana, including accommodation and studio space.
  • Travel stipend and per diem allowance.
  • Mentorship and guidance from experienced artists and curators.
  • Exposure to new audiences and potential collaborators.
  • Chance to showcase work at the closing event at the EU Ambassador’s residence.

Application process:

  • Online application form with:
    • Portfolio of past work.
    • Project proposal outlining your artistic vision for the residency.
    • Letter of motivation.
    • References.
