Case Study: Designing the Ikoyi-Obalende Impact Report 2023–2025
Client: Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA)
Project: Impact Report 2023–2025
The Mission: To transform years of administrative data into a compelling, inspirational narrative of legacy and progress.
The Challenge
One Brand was tasked with bringing the Ikoyi-Obalende Impact Report 2023–2025 to life. The objective was to move beyond a standard government document and create a high-impact visual story that validated the administration’s theme: “Purpose. People. Progress.”. The report needed to serve as both a closing statement for the current tenure and a blueprint for the community’s future.
Our Strategic Execution
1. Strategic Writing & Narrative Arc
One Brand’s writing team didn’t just list projects; we crafted a journey. We humanized the data by focusing on People-Centered Outcomes for every initiative.
- The Voice: We adopted a warm, confident, and steady tone, particularly in the “Message from the Executive Chairman,” to build an emotional connection with the residents.
- Contextual Storytelling: We integrated historical context—like the origins of “Obalende”—to ground the modern progress in a rich heritage.
2. Data Analytics & Impact Metrics
To prove that governance was “measured by impact,” One Brand transformed complex datasets into scannable, persuasive visualizations.
- Quantifying Progress: We utilized data analytics to highlight that 99% of participants felt they benefited from LCDA projects.
- Sector Analysis: We designed comparative charts showing resident satisfaction across five key pillars: Infrastructure, Environment, Health, Empowerment, and Education.
- Transparency: By showcasing that the LCDA took responsibility for 59% of the area’s 71 roads, we used metrics to demonstrate proactive leadership.
3. Visual Design & Branding
The design was built to reflect a “modern hub of governance” while celebrating the community’s unique identity.
- The Theme: We used the “Purpose. People. Progress.” framework to create a consistent visual hierarchy throughout the 65-page document.
- Cinematic Documentation: We moved away from static imagery, instead using montages of active construction, team collaboration, and community joy to make the progress feel tangible.
- Visual Accessibility: High-contrast layouts, bold typography for key metrics, and sector-specific iconography (aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals) ensured the report was digestible for all stakeholders.
The Result
One Brand brought the Ikoyi-Obalende Impact Report to life by balancing empathy with candor. We validated the feelings of the residents as a supportive peer would, while ensuring every claim was backed by rigorous data and professional design. The final report is more than a document—it is a legacy built on trust and measurable transformation.
